Terms & Conditions

Agreement to these terms

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of praxprecision.com and the products and services offered by The Praxeology Company LLC, a Texas limited liability company doing business as PRAX Precision, located at 2210 CR 342, McKinney, TX 75070. By using the site, booking an appointment, ordering parts or merchandise, or scheduling a PRAX Tech Direct consultation, you agree to these terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use the site or our services.

The website

We work to keep the information on this site accurate, but descriptions, availability, pricing, and photographs may contain errors or change without notice. Nothing on this site is an offer to perform work at a stated price. Prices for service work are quoted only in a written estimate for your specific motorcycle.

You agree not to misuse the site, interfere with its operation, or attempt to access any part of it you are not authorized to use.

Appointments, estimates, and authorization for service

Booking is not authorization to perform work. Scheduling an appointment online reserves time in our shop. It does not authorize us to tow, inspect, test ride, diagnose, disassemble, or repair your motorcycle.

Texas law requires your written authorization before we begin. Before any work starts, you will sign a written authorization describing what we are permitted to do, what it will cost, and whether parts will be removed. Authorization to inspect or diagnose is separate from authorization to repair, and each requires its own signature.

After inspection we will provide a written estimate showing the work to be done, the charges, the expected completion date, and the terms of payment. We will not exceed an authorized estimate without contacting you and obtaining your approval first. Approval may be given in writing, by SMS/text message, or by email, and we will note the date, time, and method.

Diagnostic and inspection charges are earned whether or not you proceed with the recommended repairs.

Estimated completion dates are estimates. Parts availability, backorders, supplier delays, and conditions discovered during the work can extend them. We will keep you informed if a date changes.

SMS/Text Communications

If you provide a mobile phone number when scheduling an appointment, requesting service, placing an order, or otherwise communicating with PRAX Precision, you agree that we may contact you by SMS/text message regarding your appointment, motorcycle, estimate, authorization, parts or order status, service updates, and other communications related to your request or our services.

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. You may opt out of non-essential text messages by replying STOP. For assistance, reply HELP or contact us at info@praxprecision.com. Opting out of text messages will not affect communications that are necessary to complete or administer services you have requested, where otherwise permitted by law.

Storage, pickup, and abandoned motorcycles

Your motorcycle should be picked up within 10 days of our notice that the work is complete. After that period we may charge storage of $25 per day.

Motorcycles left without payment or communication may be subject to a mechanic’s or possessory lien and to sale or disposal under Texas law after the required notice. We would much rather call you — please stay in touch with us if something changes.

Customer-supplied parts

We may agree to install parts you supply. Parts you supply are not covered by our workmanship warranty, we make no representation about their fitment or quality, and we are not responsible for delays, damage, or additional labor caused by a supplied part being incorrect, defective, or incomplete. We may decline to install a part we believe is unsafe or unsuitable.

Parts orders

  • Fitment. We confirm fitment against the year, make, and model you give us. Please make sure that information is accurate — an incorrect year or model is the most common cause of a wrong part.

  • Special orders. Special-order parts may require full payment or a deposit at the time of order and may be non-returnable once ordered. We will tell you before placing the order if that is the case.

  • Returns. Stock parts in new, uninstalled, resalable condition and original packaging may be returned within 5 days with proof of purchase. Electrical parts, special orders, and installed parts are not returnable. A restocking fee of 15% may apply where our supplier charges one.

  • Backorders. If a part is on backorder we will tell you the expected date and you may cancel that item for a refund.

  • Core charges. Where a core charge applies, it is refunded when the old part is returned in acceptable condition.

Merchandise orders

  • Pricing and availability. Prices are in U.S. dollars and may change. If an item is out of stock or mispriced, we may cancel the order and refund you in full.

  • Shipping. Orders ship within 3 business days. Title and risk of loss pass to you when the carrier accepts the shipment. Delivery estimates are not guaranteed.

  • Returns and exchanges. Unworn, unwashed items in original condition may be returned or exchanged within 5 days of delivery with proof of purchase. Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility unless the item is defective or we shipped the wrong item.

  • Final sale. Clearance and limited-edition event items may be marked final sale, which will be noted on the product page.

PRAX Tech Direct consultations

PRAX Tech Direct is a paid live video consultation with a technician. It is general technical guidance based on what you describe and show us during the call.

  • It is not a diagnosis. A consultation cannot replace hands-on inspection, testing, or measurement. We may be unable to identify a problem over video, and we will say so when that is the case rather than guess.

  • You decide what to do. Any recommendation is advisory. You are responsible for decisions about your motorcycle and for the work you or another shop performs.

  • Fees. Consultation fees are charged at booking and are separate from any repair cost. They are not credited toward later repairs.

  • No-shows and refunds. Because we reserve that time for you, fees are non-refundable. If you have not joined within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time, the appointment is a no-show. Rescheduling at least 24 hours in advance is welcome at no charge.

  • Recording. We do not record consultations unless you are told in advance and agree.

  • Safety. Do not join a consultation while riding or operating a vehicle.

Insurance claims

When you ask us to, we will provide estimates, photographs, and measurement documentation to support an insurance claim and will communicate with your adjuster. We are not a party to your insurance contract and do not control claim decisions, coverage determinations, or payment amounts.

You remain responsible for payment of your bill, including deductibles and any amount your insurer does not pay.

Warranty

We warrant all workmanship against defects directly related to our services. In the event a discrepancy arises, the vehicle must be returned to our facility for a comprehensive diagnostic investigation.

If our findings determine the issue stems from shop error, all necessary repairs will be completed at no charge. Should the diagnosis reveal that the concern is due to tampering, outside interference, or conditions outside the scope of our initial work, standard diagnostic and repair fees will apply. However, if you authorize us to perform the necessary repairs in such cases, we will credit the initial diagnostic charge toward the final repair invoice.

Parts carry only the warranty offered by their manufacturer, and we will help you pursue a manufacturer warranty claim.

This warranty does not cover normal wear, damage from an accident, abuse, racing or competition use, neglect, modifications made elsewhere, customer-supplied parts, or work performed by another shop.

Except as stated here, we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Payment

Payment is due when the work is complete and before the motorcycle is released, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. We accept the payment methods listed at the shop.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Praxeology Company LLC, its members, employees, and agents from claims, damages, and costs, including reasonable attorney’s fees, arising out of your misuse of the site, your violation of these terms, or your violation of the rights of another.

If something is not right, please contact us first at info@praxprecision.com or by calling the shop. Most issues are resolved quickly by talking to us.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised. Your continued use of the site or our services after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Severability and entire agreement

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. These terms, together with any written estimate, authorization, and invoice for your specific work, are the entire agreement between us regarding that work.
